China attracts visitors from every corner of the globe seeking glimpses of its storied landscapes. The nation embodies a mindboggling dichotomy of modern marvels and old-world wonders: Teeming, futuristic cities contrasted with idyllic, rural countryside dotted with ancient architecture.
